Warm Greetings! I'm pleased to introduce the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES) at IISER Bhopal. Our department is committed to expanding our understanding of the Earth system, with a mission that is driven by the dual purpose of bringing science-based solutions through novel research and equipping young scholars with critical insights to address challenges that the Earth and the Environment face. Recognizing Earth as a dynamic system shaped by complex interactions across various time scales, we emphasize interdisciplinary research to provide practical solutions that inform policy-making and address pressing issues. We prioritize quality education and strive to be interdisciplinary in our approach to geological and environmental challenges related to the solid earth, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. I welcome you to explore our department and website.
